Aquarius Full Moon; Act on Intuition

I'm a little behind with this post.  We entered a Full Moon cycle yesterday with the moon in Aquarius.  I wrote about this last year. Although this year it isn't a Blue Moon as well, the information still feels right to me http://pixiedusthealing.blogspot.ca/2012/08/full-moon-in-aquarious.html

If anything I think there may be increased intensity this year to understand our role in the "whole" of things. Not always an easy task.

I believe when we consider "the collective" or talk about that, we are often thinking of the people we should be a part of.  It's concepts like foreign aid, helping out neighbours, being part of movements, connecting with others that share similar philosophies or ideologies in order to pursue goals and objectives. That might be the energy within the Full Moon in Aquarius but perhaps it's something different.

Maybe it's an energy that helps us find our place in the "wholeness of the universe", only a very small part of which would be other humans. It feels to me like this moon might be challenging us to look beyond the people we see around us and connect on a much bigger, wider, further scope. Hmm...

I was thinking about the Full Moon energy yesterday, and considering how I felt about that and what I might write when I had an encounter with a Lynx. There aren't really supposed to be Lynx in my part of the world but I guess the Lynx I saw yesterday didn't get the memo.  There is something very distinctive about that tuff of hair on their ears and believe me, I saw this guy up close and personal.

I was driving along somewhere in the middle of what felt like "no where", hadn't seen another car for miles, when this guy ran out of the ditch,  faster than anything I've seen before and collided with the side of my car.  It was a strange encounter. No breaking, no swerving, no "holy ___", just "thump".  He really did run into me instead of the other way around. He lay there on the side of the road for  while a crowd really gathered. All of a sudden I wasn't  in the middle of "no where".  There were tons of vehicleses, a bit of a traffic jam, people were pulling over all over the place and gathering.  Hmm....

The Lynx was definitely breathing, no blood or obvious injury- but he wasn't moving and  geez I felt that thump. There was a lot of talk as we all observed from a very respectful distance, at  what was obviously a beautiful, incredible Lynx.  There was talk of euthanasia, of could he possibly be okay?, of how beautiful he was, of farmers in the area that could be summoned with guns and therefore, finally, my call to 911 for Natural Resources personnel.  There was convincing to be done there but I got patched through. While suggesting we might need someone to help this guy out, the Lynx bolted back into the woods.  There was no slow, maybe I can get up movement, there were no sounds, no limping, so slow adjustment. One minute he was there and the next he was not. Reports from Natural Resources are they can't find him anywhere. They think he must be okay because they have searched extensively and can't find a thing.  That actually feels right to me; much to my relief. There may in fact be some disbelief as to him ever being there in the first place except the "collective" of us that gathered on the road all saw him and stood in awe of him.

So...  I can't ignore that thump on the head.  I looked up Lynx in Steven Farmer's Animal Spirit Guides. There are lots of interpretations when a Lynx shows up, but the one that really feels right to me is:
"Your clairvoyance and clairaudience are particularly acute at this time, so pay attention to what you see and hear that's beyond the immediate realm of your usual senses."
I had a thought about this just before it happened.  I had a weird feeling when I went on that drive.  I have had lots of feelings and "coincidental" occurrences lately, that in hindsight, I had a glimpse of ahead of time.  In the days previous to this there had been a lot of messages that I didn't quite act on. Lack of trust I guess. I don't think I'm alone in this. This is the kind of thing that is expanding in our universe.

The issue, at least for me, is to accept and listen to that intuition so that I can act on it when I'm supposed to, not think about how interesting that was later! Perhaps it's time to realize there is a bigger collective out there that has information to share, and knowledge that should be grounded in the earth.  I don't believe it's any longer about being either fearful or amazed by discovering our intuition. Rather, it's time to accept and above all, act on it. It's not the time to wait for the memos to tell us how to respond, or where to be, when. It's time to feel our inner knowing and bring it to our physical being.

So I'm really sorry for that headache you must be feeling today Mr. Lynx.  I hope it wasn't only for my benefit. I'm hope there were other intentions there as well.  But I have heard the message and I will act.

Message received...

Full Moon in Aquarious

According to We'Moon 2012, today begins a Full Moon in Aquarius.  I wrote about this particular full moon before http://pixiedusthealing.blogspot.ca/2011/08/full-moon-intensity-staying-true-to.html .  There is an energy with this moon that propels us to be part of a collective. It's energy of collaboration and collectivity. According to We'Moon this would be a good time to network with others, and consider the global perspective. It's also a time to review and live our philosophy. It time to consider our dogmas as I wrote about last year and evaluate whether or not we want to change our views. I guess this energy is about knowing who you are and maintaining that sense of self in a crowd.  Perhaps it's even about understanding how your uniqueness can be of value to the tribe or the collective. Hmm...

In Shamanic Astrology, Lucy Harmer writes the Spirit Animal that corresponds to the Western Astrology sign Aquarius, is the Otter. Otters are pretty happy and amusing creatures, but there is also a  grounded depth to them. "Otter people" value their creativity and freedom but they are always happy to make sacrifices for the good of the community or for humanitarian ideals. Otters are full of original ideas that need to be expressed.

Steven Farmer in, Animal Spirit Guides writes that if an Otter shows up it's time to be more playful, spontaneous and creative. Farmer suggests you call on Otter when you find yourself worrying obsessively or picturing all kinds of catastrophic outcomes. Considering the Aquarius Energy of the Full Moon, I guess we can say the Otter has "shown up"!

There is a lot going on this month and some of it seems a bit contradictory. We are supposed to lighten up, but we are also encouraged to consider our beliefs and figure out what really drives us.  We are to focus on family, the collective, and global concerns at the same time that we consider our unique attributes and talents.

Perhaps it's a good thing that this month marks a "Blue Moon".  A Blue Moon means we will have two Full Moons in the same month. The Moon is full going in to the month (on the first day which seems significant) and it will be full going out of August on the 31st.  That means a lot of energy and a pretty fast pace of change and movement. A chance to really get things happening  by enjoying nature's energy. It's technically the second moon of the month that is really the "blue moon", but I thought today's picture was worth sharing today as we enter the month.  According to the NASA website http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2004/07jul_bluemoon/ , Kostian Iftica took this picture on July 2nd when he photographed this full moon rising over Brighton, Mass.  He used a blue filter to create the picture, the moon wasn't "really" that blue,  but that might be a nice mix of individual creativity combined with ancient tradition I think. I like that.

I also believe that's the message for the month.  I think it's about finding your uniqueness, grounding it in the traditions and wisdom of your inner self,  and communicating that combination to the greater group. In my earlier Full Moon in Aquarius posting I talked about the Bach Flower Cerato.  It's helpful when you could use some support to find and more-over, to trust, that inner knowing and  uniqueness.  But I believe, having found that and trusting that sense of self, you owe it to the collective to bring it forward. It's time to stand up and speak your truth. You don't have to yell it from the mountain top.  You don't need to convince anyone else that it's their truth. But maybe you owe it to yourself to share, and in doing so, expand from within while you contribute to source at the same time. Hmm...

The Blue Moon may be particularly helpful with this.  Blue is the color that resonates with the throat or 5th Chakra. Blue helps us communicate our truth. In Sweet Shack & Bach Bar, http://pixiedusthealing.blogspot.ca/2012/02/sweet-shack-bach-bar-book-review-from.html Merlin gave Rachael a blue scarf to wear around her throat. Wise Woman gave her Cerato, Mimluus, and Agrimony- all Bach Flowers that can help balance the throat chakra.

It would seem like the universe, in this month of Blue Moons, and under the guidance of the Moon in Aquarius, is encouraging us to speak our truth in a light hearted, non confrontational, but secure way. It's time to let go of the fear of getting kicked out of the tribe  http://pixiedusthealing.blogspot.ca/2012/07/alone-vs-abandoned-bach-flowers-for-both.html and go play with Otters that are fun to be around. Share what you know, communicate what you think, and enjoy the fun of just being you; alone in the crowd!

Party on!

Full Moon Intensity: Staying True to Self

I think these are pretty intense times right now no matter where you are living and what you are doing.  This intensity seems to be apparent at all levels; personal, universall, and everything in between.

Tomorrow is a  full moon which brings yet another layer of intensity to things. During this full moon we also have an accumulation of meteor showers and the comet Honda is floating around up there as well . It  comes very close to the earth on August 15th. The last time it passed this close was 1975- the same time China experienced a major earthquake according to Mahala Gayle, in her Planet Alert August newsletter http://www.mahalasatrology.com/

This full moon is in Aquarius. According to my We'Moon book, the moon in Aquarius connects us to each other and our sense of community. It's a time when we are asked to walk our talk.  It is considered to be a good time to integrate your philosophy with your politics.  Hmm..

I say a quote today that recommended you "don't get trapped in dogma because that's the results of someone else's thinking". In Webster's Dictionary, dogma is defined as "a system of doctrines proclaimed by an authority as true." That sounds like politics. So perhaps it's worth taking some time to reflect on what it is you really believe versus what you may be following, or buying into, because it's become dogma.

That sounds pretty easy, but I don't imagine it is. If you start to consider all the powers of authority you have bought into over the years, it can become pretty difficult to really figure out what it is you believe to be true. It might even be a bit painful as you question your beliefs and define your own philosophy of life. But defining your own philosophy is the easiest part.  Once you have it sorted out, living it may become the difficult piece.

It's easier to live by the "dogma of the day". There is comfort in going with the system and not having to consider if your actions make sense or not. It's also giving away your personal power in order to be looked after.  I guess everyone wants to be looked after every now and then, but maybe in these intense times it's appropriate to reconsider that and start claiming back your power and looking after yourself. Really looking after yourself- according to your own philosophy.

The good news is, you don't have to convince anyone other than yourself what it is you believe in. It's better if you don't. Discovering your philosophy is really not a group activity, as much as we would like to believe it is. If you examine your truths in a group, I believe you come up with a revised "dogma". Politics work their way in there again.

It was once dogma that the earth was flat. Everyone that was anyone, believed it. This could be a fearful concept if you think about it. It meant if you sailed too far out there you were going to "drop off". A pretty good method of control. Not too many people will go wondering off to set up their own empires. I wonder how many people never really believed in that concept. Instead, quietly to themselves, they thought the world might have some rounded edges. Perhaps they didn't "do" much about that, but they lived with a whole lot less fear, especially when they were in a sail boat in strong winds. It didn't hurt anyone to have their "rounded" beliefs. They didn't argue the fact, or write books about the concept. They didn't market the concept. They just "had a knowing" that made them feel better about things. I suspect if close friends ever brought up the question of a flat earth, they told them what they believed. Maybe some of their friends considered it, maybe even changed their mind, and felt a little more peaceful themselves. Most friends probably just looked at them sideways and decided they were off on another crazy tangent but it didn't really seem harmful- just nuts. I'll bet they made up stories for their children about magical lands where the earth was round and you could sail all the way around and come back home again. Perhaps those fantasy stories gave their children courage. Perhaps their children built bigger sails for their ships.

William Shakespeare wrote" to thy own self be true". I like that quote. It takes the pressure off. You don't need to convince anyone else, you just do what you know to be right for you.

If you need help finding your philosophy and sticking to it, especially during opposing dogma, consider the Bach flower essence Cerato. Cerato is helpful for people that don't trust their own judgement. It can help you find your truths from within, rather than polling your neighbours and  following someone else's advice. Cerato helps you balance all that incoming information so you can distinguish your own inner voice. It helps you find the strength to trust that small voice.

So tonight, under the light of the moon, instead of reading a book, write your own words. Don't write the world's greatest novel, or the next classic textbook. Write something only you need to read. Listen to you inner voice and find your own words.

Create something just for you, by you. Use this intensity to find your power.
